Anu Jain

Anu Jain is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She was born in India, but spent her childhood traveling around the world with her family. Her father was a diplomat with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Israel and the Middle East, and moved the family to a different country every two years. She came to the US for her bachelors and then got her MBA.

Anu’s unique childhood exposed her to many different environments and cultures, and shaped her values around gender equity and global health. She continues to engage with these issues through her extensive community service and various Board positions. In 2022, Anu was named Ambassador for UN University for Peace. She is also a founding member, and serves on the Advisory Board and leadership circle of the United Nations Foundation Girl Up, a movement to advance girls’ skills, rights, and leadership opportunities.

Anu is the founder of the Women’s Safety XPRIZE, where she launched and awarded $1 million to incentivize innovators to design a technology-based safety solution for women, and currently serves on the XPRIZE Board, a platform to catalyze innovation by incentivizing radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity. She is also on the Health Advisory Board at the University of California San Diego and on their Science, Technology and Global Initiatives committee. Anu has served on numerous other boards including United Way of King County and University Prep Academy.

Anu is an inspirational mother to two sons and a daughter, all who are now entrepreneurs in their own right. She has worked alongside her husband, Naveen, since his early entrepreneurial ventures and has been a pillar of strength throughout their journey. Anu wears several hats with ease, always driven to improve humanity in everything she does.
